The Parallel of Mary To Jesus

In spite of the Biblical truth, “My glory will I not give to another,” the Church of Rome constructs a parallel of Mary to Jesus, and even of Mary to the Holy Spirit.  The Catholic teaching consistently declares that attributes and offices of the Lord Christ Jesus are applicable to Mary.  The table below shows that the strategies underlying the presentation of the dogmas on Mary as if she were a parallel to the Lord Himself and to the Holy Spirit in some roles.

The Biblical Mary and the Mary of Catholic tradition

The Catholic Church constructs a parallel of Mary to Christ Jesus. It teaches that just as Christ was sinless, so was Mary.  Just as grace comes from Christ, so Mary is the mother of grace.  Just as the Lord saves His people from their sins, so Mary is the cause of salvation.  The Bible clearly states that there is only one mediator for mankind; amazingly the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that Mary is a mediator.  Former Priest Richard Bennett analyzes the obvious contractions between Biblical truth and the Catholic tradition.
